Mostly Medics Cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats

Who are we? We are a group of mostly medical friends and colleagues from Bristol. Most of us are keen cyclists but only usually put in the occasional 50 mile or so ride. We have vehicle support, mostly from Avril, one of our mothers-in-law!

What are we doing? We are going to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats in 9 days, starting on 20th June 2008. The total distance is just under 900 miles, so on some days we will need to cycle over 120 miles.

Why? Initially it was a casual question over a summer evening drink “what do you think of cycling Land’s End to John O’Groats next year?” From that point onwards our numbers and commitment started to grow.
We also want to raise money for two deserving charities.
